A beautiful Saturday morning

I was awestruck by the beautiful frost that was falling Saturday morning, so I grabbed my camera, bundled up, and took some shots. Enjoy!

#1. I was standing on our front porch using a 400mm lens to take this picture of our pond covered with snow.

#2. I liked the sepia-toned affect to this picture taken towards the southeast valley.

#3. Notice the frost on the branch limbs.

#4. This trail/road leads down to our pond.

#5. My husband's car got stuck in the snow last week. He had to walk home to get the tractor to pull himself out. The footsteps in the picture are his footsteps walking home.

Pigeon & Sunrise

My husband Ron took this picture of the pigeon that landed on our front porch while I laid in bed and watched! :)
Then I got out of bed to take this picture of this beautiful sunrise.
Boy, I love this country living!!! :)

Country Sunset

This is one of the reasons why I love living out in the country. The sunsets and sunrises are just out of the world! I'm not a morning person, so I am more likely to capture the sunsets.
Enjoy this sunset!

Missouri Landscape

While returning from Shelbyville, Indiana, a friend and I stopped in Wentzville and Wright City, Missouri, to take some pics. The horse pic was taken through the car windshield. It was funny when the horses came so close to the car we had to wait for them to move. :)

These are a few of my favorites.

P.S. I cheated on the first pic and added a sky/cloud background. :)

Last wildflowers of the season

I really enjoyed taking pictures of the wildflowers in my yard this year. I learned a lot about wildflowers just doing so. It will be sad to see them go, but sure won't miss the chigger bites! These are a few of my favorites from last Saturday.

Enjoy!

Sleepy Papi

Meet Sleepy Papi, Angela's (my daughter) new boyfriend. I almost wanted to keep him. He is so gentle and loveable. I got to pose him on my new chair prop that I bought in Kansas City at a church yard sale. He didn't like being on the chair all alone. We were making all kind of maneuvers to get him posed. We had a blast!

Enjoy!

Country Wildflowers

I didn't realize until being out in the country that the wildflowers come and go in stages; when one type stops blooming another type takes its place. So of course I had to capture these new flowers!

I was determined when taking these that I would not be chigger-bit. I sprayed on Off and then immediately took a shower afterwards, but somehow I still managed to get bit! It probably didn't help that on the last picture I was sprawled on the ground attempting to get the sunset in the background of the picture.

These are a few of my favorites from my excursion. Enjoy!
